Job responsibilities include:
The Archives interns will be working under the direction of one or more of the Ford archivists, and will be responsible for arranging newly acquired owners manuals, dealer catalogs, and service manuals into existing collections. They will also help re-organize collections of photographic negatives, box the negatives and prepare them for temperature-controlled storage to reduce image degradation. The interns will utilize the Ford Archives appraisal guidelines to select materials for long-term preservation.
Requirements include:
Completed a bachelor's degree in library science or other research-intensive subject and enrolled in a Archival Studies Program
Candidates for positions with Ford Motor Company must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
