Job Details:
At Ford Motor Company, we are dedicated to designing, manufacturing and selling high quality vehicles that meet the diverse needs of our customers. Come discover a company that is focused on the quality and safety of our vehicles, the environment, the community and the world in which we live.

Global Product Development: Developing high quality products and high quality people.

Product Development (PD) engineers are responsible for delivering exciting products that are world class in cost, quality, function and time to market. As ONE team, we are committed to delighting our customers and employees by executing consistently while using common global standards, methods and processes with rigor and discipline.

Our Vehicle Engineers (VE) specify vehicle requirements and/or develop vehicles related to various technical disciplines. Vehicle NVH engineers develop targets, methods, requirements, and assess acoustic & vibrations related to vehicle performance. Vehicle Dynamics engineers develop targets, methods, requirements, and assess a wide range of full vehicle performance metrics for ride, handling and steering. Durability engineers work to understand vehicle performance at the system and total vehicle level for its functional lifecycle. CAE supports vehicle design and development throughout the GPDS cycle. Analytical model analysis is executed, and results are interpreted to guide the designs to meet targets.

Our success story: Quietness is a very good proxy for quality in a vehicle. Starting with the first prototype Ford Flex a year ago and continuing now with random vehicles pulled from production, the NVH team has used Aachen Head technology to measure and pinpoint sounds inside the car. In these tests, a microphone-equipped mannequin picks up sounds while a giant, 23-foot fan blows 100 mph winds at the car. As a result of the team's efforts, Flex delivers a quieter ride than all of its competitors.
